Igbo Mandate Congress Commends Igbo--Israeli Economic Summit as Israeli, Italian Investors arrives Enugu



Igbo Mandate Congress IMC welcomes Ambassador Itshak Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria and Benin Reublic, Colonel Yigal Barzilay, Mr Drio Ator, Mr Ilan Shekel, Mr Assaf Mr Diamant Dolev, Dr Kaspi Yoram, Dr David Day to Enugu for the historic event starting on the 5th and 6th of October at The Dome, New Haven, Enugu. IMC also welcomes the Italian Investors coming along with them and wishes the participants a happy stay at the South East.
Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC) has commended the historic first ever organized business partnership between the Israeli and the Igbo people of South East Nigeria. This partnership being kick started with this South East Youth Economic Summit (SEYES) organized by Ambassador Paul Ekpere led Diamond Youth initiative with the invaluable input of Prof Chinedu Nebo and former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike) has the potential of turning the South East into the Japan of Africa.

Enugu Pastor Rehabilitates Widows of Fellow Pastors across South East States




An Enugu based pastor, Rev Kanayo Madichie has continued in the rehabilitation of abandoned widows of fellow pastors cutting across many denominations with in ‘Operation Barnabas’ anchored through  Jaykobez International Foundation.

This philanthropist ministry has taken the pastor to various villages in Enugu and Ebonyi states where he and his supportive Nigerian partners doled cash and materials to widows of pastors, indigent pastors and committed members from various congregations.

‘Operation Barnabas’, the name given to the Pastor’s Widows Support Initiative, started in February 2014 in Agbani, Nkanu East Council of Enugu State where about 75 persons were in attendance. In addition to other gift items, five pastor’s widows were given money to start petty businesses.
In October of the same year, Operation Barnabas moved to Ikwo in Ebonyi State. Over 350 persons attended and some pastor’s wives were given money to start businesses. Gift items shared included GSM phones, Study Bibles and Sewing Machines.

Israeli Investors to Storm South East, Empower 20,000 Youths: Igbo Mandate Congress Lauds SEYES initiative


Israeli businessmen and investors for the first time in history is about to storm the South East of Nigeria in a business investor’s forum meant to seek opportunities for investment in the zone. The investment summit powered by Diamond Youth Initiative is being facilitated by powerful investment minded senior citizens of the South East as means of ending the spate of unemployment, joblessness and restiveness in the region, through partnership with Israeli businessmen.
The Summit tagged ‘South East Youth Empowerment Summit’ , SEYES, is scheduled for the 5th and 6th of October at the Dome Event Centre, New Haven , Enugu by 10am. Briefing the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, IMC, Rev Obinna Akukwe, in Enugu during a courtesy call , the President of Diamond  Youth Initiative, Uchechukwu Ekpere  Paul (Ambassador) said that the summit will create over 20,000 jobs. According to Amb Uchechukwu “This summit is an attempt to give the youth of South East a means of livelihood, reduce unemployment, and accelerate the industrialization of the South East”.


Amb Uchechukwu stated further that “ prominent Israeli businessmen will be seeking opportunities for investments in areas like Agriculture, Information and Communication Technology ,Global Skills Accounting, Education ,Solar Technology and Automobile Technology “
He listed some prominent businessmen among whom are Ambassador Itshak Oren,former Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria and Benin Reublic, Colonel Yigal Barzilay, Mr Drio Ator, Mr Ilan Shekel, Mr Assaf Mr Diamant Dolev, Dr Kaspi Yoram, Dr David Day who will be interfacing with South East businesses.

The summit is also expected to showcase change and modernization by bringing the best in Agriculture, Information Communication Technology, Education, and Skills Acquisition for young people and entrepreneurs. It will also act as a catalyst for economic emancipation in the South East.


Amb Uchechukwu believes that linking   the Israelis with  successful entrepreneurs will also help the South East youth develop a world class training and investment programs that will enhance skills and development needed for the development of the South East .
The Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe , in his response, described Amb Uchechukwu  Ekpere Paul as a man of  vision whose initiative can make South East the Japan of Africa.  He also commended the efforts of Professor Chinedu Nebo, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife and other key Igbo leaders who are linking up the Israelis with the South East on a purely economic purpose.
Professor Chinedu Nebo, former Minister of Power and Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former Governor of Anambra State is among the key facilitators of the event. Governors of the South East are said to be warming up to receive the Israel Investors. Enugu Chamber of Commerce and Industry are on red alert. Hon Charles Ndukwe, Commissioner for Youth, Enugu State has pledged the support of Enugu State Government  to the summit holding in the state.
Igbo Mandate Congress advises all Igbo Youth who are interested in entrepreneurial opportunities to take advantage of this summit and develop their skill and economic potentials. Igbo Mandate Congress also calls on all business men interested in the aforementioned key areas of agriculture, automobile technology, solar power technology, global skills accounting, education and other technical skills accounting , to partner with the organizers  of SEYES and Israeli experts and accelerate the industrialization of the South East.

Massacre of protesting Biafrans: Igbo Mandate Congress condemns military

Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC) after full discreet investigations into the events of May 29th and 30th Biafran Heroes Day Celebrations do hereby condemn the murder of innocent persons by officers and men of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Police.
Igbo Mandate Congress though has divergent views over the Biafran agitations from IPOB and MASSOB, do hereby condemn the massive use of force on unarmed civilians commemorating the annual Biafra Day Celebrations at St Francis Catholic Church, Nkpor and Onitsha environs in the early hours of May 30th. 
Massacre of protesting BiafransIn the event, even passer bye and those going about normal businesses were gummed down.
Igbo Mandate Congress inquires and investigations suggest that over seventy persons are either dead or missing since the event occurred.
Other persons, numbering over hundred sustained various degrees of injuries while hundreds are still being held at SARS Awkuzu, State CID Onitsha and Army Barracks.
IMC views it improper that even some wounded were abducted from hospitals and abandoned to die. 
IMC wishes to state that these events are exactly what aggravated the security situation in the North East, and drew sympathizers for Boko Haram especially when gross human rights abuses followed the fight against terror.

GAAICOM Calls all Igbo Hebrews Home for a 3-Day Prayer and Advises President Buhari

The General Assembly of all Igbo Christian Organizations and Ministers (GAAICOM), foremost Igbo umbrella of religious leaders with track records, have once more called upon all Igbo Hebrews home for a ‘3 Day Walk into the Presence of God’. This 3 Day Prayer Walk is as revealed to the General Coordinator Apostle Dr PCJ Macjossy way back in 2002, and confirmed by other religious leaders cutting across all denominations is finally coming to fruition as the political and occult Igbo leaders and their foreign acolytes who opposed the divinely mandated prayers since 2002, are the ones now begging for its convocation.

This Prayer Conference tagged ‘3 Day Walk in the Presence of God” which will involve the entire Igbo Nation, has since gotten the support of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide which pleaded that the programme should come up after the Igbo Day celebration of September, to enable their full participation. The aim of the 3 Day Prayer is for all Igbos to get back to their Igbo Hebrew root and call upon the God of the Hebrews to stand on their behalf in these trying times of national transformation. The 3 Day Programme holds the key to unraveling the destiny of Ndigbo Worldwide.

Biafra: Igbo Leaders Disappointed with Buhari’s Military Delegation After 6 Months

Cross sections of Igbo leaders, clerics and activists who were consulted by the high powered military delegation from the presidency on issues pertaining to Biafra agitations, marginalization and the best ways to restore the confidence of the people of the South East in the project called Nigeria, have expressed anger that six months after the visit of the military officers, nothing concrete has been done to make the Igbo nation feel a sense of belonging.

They many occasions, including series of meetings on rampaging herdsmen and build up to the burial of Rev Pa JMJ Emesin , Father of Igbo Pentecostal Revival Movement, in Enugu and Aguleri last week to privately express disappointment that all they demanded that government should do for the Igbo are yet to be implemented and they asked Rev Akukwe to take their complaint to the appropriate quarters.

Weeks before the Biafra protests ensued, the Presidency had reportedly mandated the military chiefs to seek means of resolving issues capable of turning the nation into a battle ground and destabilize the Buhari presidency. They identified the South East, South South and North East as areas where the destabilization of Nigeria could start but bureaucratic bottlenecks hampered their activities.

Igbo APC Commends Governor Badaru Of Jigawa State, Calls For Igbo Unity

 A group, known as Igbo APC in Jigawa State, comprising of Ndigbo in the Al Progressive Congress (APC) have called for an end to the disunity among Ndigbo in Jigawa State. They also expressed support for the developmental efforts of the Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Badaru, describing his style of leadership as excellent in prudent management of resources in the State.

  This was expressed after a stakeholders meeting of Igbos in APC in Dutse, Jigawa State last week.. The Chairman of Igbo APC, Rev Offodile Igwesi Orient while tasking Igbos on unity, oneness of purpose and industry, asked them to throw weight behind the developmental achievements of Governor Badaru.  He also expressed optimism that the entire politically motivated crisis tearing Nigeria apart will be resolved on a round table and believes that President Buhari can win the war on corruption if given necessary support. They also released a press statement to that effect.

 Members of Igbo Mandate Congress IMC in Jigawa State have earlier informed the leadership of the group that the action of Rev Igwesi and Igbo APC have brought some levels of cooperation among the non-indgenes in the State. Rev Igwesi, as leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Jigawa State, was among those earlier mobilized by Igbo Mandate Congress IMC and Ohanaeze in the 19 Northern States to ensure support for some APC Governors in the North on account of their good relationship with the Igbo Communities, Badaru inclusive.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the nineteen Northern States of Nigeria has declared support for some candidates of APC in the North including Aminu Tambuwal, El-Rufai, Samuel Ortom, Abubakar Bello, and Mohammed Abubakar among others.
 
Speaking with the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC), a cleric and Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the 19 Northern States and President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Jigawa State Chapter, Rev Offodile Igwesi said that Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the 19 Northern States have concluded arrangements to vote for the candidates of the opposition APC in tomorrow’s governorship elections. According to Rev Igwesi, “The APC Governorship Candidate Alhaji Baduru Abubakar has been a friend of the Igbo community in Jigawa State and we cannot abandon him at this point in time. Mallam El-Rufai and Tambuwal have been reported to be nationalistic in nature and we have every reason to stand behind them”

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has denied endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term. They rather asked Igbos to vote whosoever their conscience permits them in the February 14th Presidential polls. 

 
Speaking on Thursday with the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC)   Rev Obinna Akukwe who led a team of concerned Igbo stakeholders to know the direction of Ndigbo in the 2015 Presidency project and the security of Ndigbo in the North especially after the elections, the Chairman of Ohanaeze Elders Council, Chief Mbazulike Amechi described those who purportedly endorsed Jonathan for a second term as “a group of illegal Ohanaeze whose major purpose is to collect and share billions of naira without any negotiation over the fate of Ndigbo during and after the Jonathan era”.

56 Bishops witness burial of Rev Pa JMJ Emesin, Father of Igbo Pentecostal Movement, as Igbo Mandate Congress Commends Massive Turnout

 More than fifty six Bishops mostly from the Anglican and Pentecostal Blocks attended the burial of Rev Pa JMJ Emesin, Father of Igbo Pentecostal Movement at Aguleri yesterday. The massive turnout of sympathizers created some issues especially with crowd controls even as the officiating clerics unanimously asked God to engrace whosoever will take over the baton as the leader of the Pentecostal movement in Igbo land to follow after the pious footsteps of Pa Emesin.

 The Governor of Anambra State and the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, South East respectively, Chief Willie Obiano and Archbishop Professor David Ebelechukwu, , though unavoidably absent, to attend to urgent security matters, sent high powered delegation. Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, Traditional Ruler of the Nri Kingdoms and custodian of Igbo-Jewish heritage and ancestry, was present with his chiefs to pay homage to the sage. Pa Emesin died at the age of eighty five.
