The Nigerian Coalition of Pastors for Good Leadership has condemned the endless sit at home embarked upon by Igbos in the South East. They vowed to engage all relevant stakeholders to seek other means of engaging government in grievances without disrupting the system.
This was stated in Enugu on Sunday during the
stakeholders parley between the Pastors and various Christian youth groups in
New Haven.
Speaking at the event, the Enugu State
Coordinator of Nigerian Coalition of Pastors for Good Governance NCPGL, Rev
Obinna Akukwe said that in the coming weeks it will set up a task force to
persuade those behind the endless sit at home to give South East a breather.
According to him “South East economy is losing billions every Monday due to a sit at home which makes no economic sense. I came back from Kano the other day, they are laughing at us that we sit down every Monday in laziness and expect them to vote Peter Ob as President.
